CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
Flexible Warrior Athletic Yoga and Pilates training sessions range from challenging and fast-paced to build agility,
flexibility and strength to slower moving, restorative formats for recovery and flexibility. All classes are geared toward your goals.
Customized pose sequences for sports specific strength and conditioning are designed to create a more adaptable,
resilient and athletic mind and body for the ultimate in wellness and improved sports performance.

30/30 CYCLE & YOGA

30 minutes of HIT (high intensity training intervals on the bike) followed by 30 minutes of Slow Flow Yoga for flexibility, balance & recovery. All levels.

ASSISTED ATHLETIC STRETCH SESSION

Flexibility is key for athletic performance, injury prevention, improved range of motion and speeding recovery. This one-on-one assisted athletic stretch session incorporates the KI HARA Method (see description below) of Resistance Stretching that Olympic Athlete Dara Torres touts as her “secret weapon”. Sessions can range from post workout mini session (15 – 30 minutes) or an intensive full body session (1 – 1 ½ hours) to include compression “mashing” massage and dynamic flexibility for the entire body.

ATHLETIC YOGA

Yoga is the perfect cross training for anyone athletic to improve flexibility and prevent injury while increasing total body strength, balance and core conditioning. This yoga format is ideal for runners, golfers, swimmers, cyclists and anyone athletic looking to gain strength with flexibility.

ATHLETIC YOGA CROSS TRAIN

15 min Dynamic Yoga Warm up; 40 min Strength & Conditioning interval workout; followed by 20 min post workout yoga stretch with foam rolling, mashing & myofascial release, flexibility, breathing nad recovery poses.

SPIN & STRETCH

Apply the principles of yoga to your spin ride. Followed by a short yoga inspired stretch session. 50 min ride and 25 min stretch.

KI-HARA RESISTANCE STRETCHING & FLEXIBILITY TRAINING
(One-on-One Stretching)

One-on-one or shared sessions can be combined with Yoga & Pilates for a customized workout. Ki: the circulating life energy that in Chinese philosophy is thought to be inherent in all things Hara: The vital centre of the self, the focus of existence

Refined by Steve Sierra and Anne Tierney of Innovative Body Solutions, Ki-Hara is flexibility, strength and core work incorporating concentric and eccentric training to develop strength and flexibility in multiple planes of movement for muscular performance. It’s like no training you’ve ever done before. During Ki Hara, muscles are contracted and lengthened at the same time. Before and after the assisted stretch sessions, you’re muscles will be “mashed” - a technique of deep tissue and fascia release to help loosen up muscles, flush toxins, and get maximum results.

Ki-Hara Resistance Stretching is a comprehensive and innovative approach to flexibility training. By contracting the muscle as it is lengthened, tension and torque is taken out of the muscles and joints. The results are more powerful, explosive and core stable movements, protection from overstretching, effectively addressing muscle imbalances which are at the root of most injuries. It is a balanced and integrated approach to well-being and creates lasting change.
